Most quality fountain pen nibs are German made. The engraved pens we sell under $150 will, on average, come with a medium nib. 90% of the personalized fountain pens we sell are medium nib and half of our sales are fountain pens! Only with fountain pens starting at $175 and higher will you get the choice of fine, medium, or broad nibs and even then , if it is a gift, the best choice is a medium nib.
